A difficult decision

When I was 18 years old I won a scholarship at ULACIT. It was a great day. Since this moment, I started studying Psychology but my scholarship had requirements. The most important one is to be member of a Student Club. In this time, I chose Civic House Club. In this one, we went to Otto Hubbe School to give workshops to the students. I learned a lot with the children because the school is located in La Carpio and the people there have high rates of violence, for this reason, to work with them was a challenge.

It was beautiful to go on Tuesdays and see the children happy receiving the workshop. My workshop was about Emotional Intelligence and in this moment, I decided to work with children in a future because I saw that they need to know a lot about it.

But in my first period of this year I had to leave the Civic House because it schedule changed and I couldn’t continue with this Club. So, I had to choose another one. I had two Clubs to choose: the Environment Club and the Debate Club. I remember that in this time I went to talk with the Psychology Director and she advised me that the Debate Club was a good choice. So I think about it and I chose this one.

Now, I don’t regret have chosen the Debate Club. Now, I meet new excellent persons and I’m learning how to talk in public and how to support my opinions.
It was a difficult decision, but I learned from it.
